One of the worse hostel experiences.
This was one of the worst hostel experiences we had. We stayed at Hemlock Hollow with a group of other hikers. From the moment we arrived I felt we were a burden on the staff. Questions were met with tuts and eye rolls. We decided to tent as this was a cheaper option. There was no water for a shower, which was advertised as part of the stay, also for the laundry. The cafe was good and provided good food, although a bit pricey. The shuttle was pricey. The whole experience was marred when it came to paying the bill, we tented but by time charges were added it was as expensive as a hostel room. I have since seen adverts showing that the hostel is up for sale. With good customer care and water this place would be a good stay.
