Great place to stay!
One of my favorite hostels to stay in. Despite this being Woodchuck’s first year he was well established for thru-hikers. The hostel is in a house in Damascus, the whole house is the hostel. There are two bathrooms, full kitchen with sodas, ice cream, pizza etc. If you decide to tent there is plenty of flat grassed areas and a great shower in a brick building outside. Breakfast is from an array of cereals and toast/spreads. The beds are very comfortable and have all linens. We stayed inside and tented and returned to Woodchucks for Trail Days. There is a computer and also Wifi can be received from the city (Damascus has a free town wide Wifi). Woodchuck offers shuttles and we slack packed north of Damascus and back to the hostel. While there Woodchuck had a BBQ night and offered free food to all guests. Damascus center is less than five minutes walk so post office, outfitters and eateries are all close by.
