Woods Hole Hostel

This was the worst hostel experience of all those we stayed in. Woods Hole appears to be a place you either love or hate, and we didn't love it! On arrival the owner Michael was rude when I tried to ask a simple question and I later found out he was also rude to my son while he was talking with some hiker friends. The bunk room was a shelter with beds and a light bulb, the privy was worse than ANY shelter privy I had experienced. I felt sorry for females having to use it. We were not allowed to use the inside bathroom. Two of our trail friends had to sleep on outside decking as the hostel was over booked, its rained heavy and there was mist in the morning and they were soaked, but still told to pay full price. The meal, which was $12 each was salad and a homemade soap with bread which hadn't risen. To drink was only water unless you purchased a soda. There was a shared laptop which only allowed 30mins use or you had to pay extra to stay on. overall I felt a burden and nickle and dimed. We were told to leave the common area at 8pm so "the house could breath".
